Special Projects & Programs at APA
The Arkansas Press Association is one of the state’s leading advocates with regard to the Arkansas Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and is involved in various special projects aimed at promoting the importance of open government. Other recent special projects and programs have included the APA History Book, Community Diaries and programs advancing higher education and supporting community literacy efforts.
APA is also a founding member of the Arkansas Recycling Coalition — and is represented on the board. APA is a leading sponsor of the Arkansas Farm Family of the Year Program, and two staff members serve on the steering committee for the annual competition.
